When the pain is present in such a way that seems to us like a palpable being, and we feel the air so heavy and hurting as if we were breathing under water

When we lose the will to eat, to sleep, to do the things we were used to do for there’s nothing more in our body and mind than the beating, burning pain

When there’s no solace in the music, nor comfort in the words and the silence in which we hide from the rumours of the living world becomes so overwhelming that starts to disturb our ears as the loudest noise

When we find there is still too much to say, too much to do, too much to share and yet we know there won’t be a next time

When we try to imagine the future and then we know there’s still a hard road to walk until we can see daylight as bright as we saw it before because the darkest cloud has not yet moved away

When we wonder if we’re dead or alive and in any case, which is the difference

When we fear to lose sanity, abandoning the fight and surrendering to the arms of the unbearable pain…

Those are the most terrible hours in the life of a human being.

Your illustration looks so friggin real, I almost thought it was a photo. I love the way you choose the color, it makes my eyes feel comfortable looking at this.
